Powered paragliding, also known as paramotoring, is a form of ultralight aviation where the pilot wears a small motor on his/her back (a paramotor) and runs into the air with lift from a paraglider wing. The low and slow flying capability, 'open' feel, portability, low equipment and maintenance costs, and safety aspects for this type of flying are considered its greatest merits.

The craft are capable of flying between 15 and 45 mph (25 and 70 km/h) at altitudes ranging up to 18,000 ft (5400 m) oxigen system required and experieced pilot to fly this altitude, although most flying is done under 500 ft (150 m) AGL (above ground level).

The paramototor, weighing from 45 to 80 pounds (20 to 36 kg) is supported by the pilot during takeoff but, after a brief run, the wing lifts the motor then its harnessed pilot. After takeoff, the pilot kicks out a seat and sits back comfortably suspended beneath the inflated paraglider wing. Fine control is available using brake toggles in each hand and a hand-heldthrottle, which control speed and direction.

We strongly believe that in order to be a safe PPG pilot you need to be a paraglider pilot first.

Therefore, our school offers you the full novice course including your USHPA P-2 rating, and then the fine-tuning to PPG.

In case you need to use our equipment, all the training needed for you to be able to take off and land safely will be charged at $200 the day.

This kind of evolution assures you the best training in order to minimize risks to the lowest possible levels once you start flying by yourself.

The main reason we believe this is the best way to do it is very simple. When the moment comes to install an engine with a propeller to the back of your harness, the ground handling and in-flight handling of your paraglider should be as easy as riding a bicycle with no hands for you.

And this requires some training. This method will save you time, stress and sometimes money. Just a broken propeller costs a lot of money and this is the most common mistake beginner with poor ground handling make when they start using the powered unit to early.
